Mission Statement

The Oglethorpe University Counseling Center’s mission is to support the personal growth and life satisfaction of each student in order to enhance his/her full participation in the university’s educational experiences. We provide a variety of individual, group, emergency, and outreach services designed to meet the specific needs of a student in the context of a small liberal arts institution. Programs are designed to empower and motivate students to think and promote change about issues relating to health and wellness. We uphold the principals of the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists ethical code based on foundations of confidentiality, respect for differences, and integrity.
